Cambodia Exported $514 Million From Bicycles Production

PHNOM PENH: In the first ten months of this year Cambodia has exported $514 million generated from bicycle exports to international markets, such as the U.S., Germany, UK, Japan, China, ASEAN, Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria, Sweden, Australia, Colombia, Korea, Spain, Italy and Canada.

According to the report released by the Ministry of Commerce, the amount of exports saw an increase of 21% compared to the same period last year.

Five bicycle manufactures make the total of production, all of them located in the special economic zones of Svay Rieng province.

Minister of Commerce Pan Sorasak has stated that despite the pandemic of COVID-19, the Kingdom’s exports remain strong. From January to November 2021, the total exports were valued at US$15,729 million.

Last year, Cambodia’s bicycle exports were amounted to $520 million, a year-on-year increase of 27 percent.
